Infographics for UNESCO global report
for UNESCO / Interior of Africa
In 2005, the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions was adopted. It aims to provide a framework for informed, transparent and participatory systems of governance for culture, through (re)shaping policies and measures. Ultimately the Convention aims to promote and protect cultural expressions, and provides a monitoring framework to assess global progress.
Every few years, a flagship report is published to provide a global overview of the state of the cultural and creative sectors. In February 2022, the 3rd edition of the report series was published: Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity – Addressing culture as a global public good.
My role was to create summary infographics for each chapter of the global report, in collaboration with Art Director Tamlin Lockhart. This process included selecting key summary points from the chapters, drafting initial infographic sketches and guiding the design of the icons and final infographics.
The report can be explored and downloaded from a designated UNESCO website.
